Palette Cafe
The Palette Cafe, located within the Beaver Galleries building, offers morning and afternoon tea, a la carte lunch and a relaxed all-day brunch on the weekend. The unique atmosphere and innovative cuisine of the cafe has made it one of Canberra's most popular meeting spots and an ideal place to spend some time after wandering through the gallery.

"The owners of Beaver Galleries must be very happy, having such a popular cafe in their midst. And Meaghan Pidd, part-owner and chef of the Palette Cafe, must be ecstatic that she's part of such a nice gallery. The best seats are outside ... next to the very healthy fern garden. ... You may recognise the odd dish, like the wok-fried mushrooms with honey, ginger and soy, from her time at the Republic, but mostly it's a new, globally inspired menu." The Sydney Morning Herald Good Food Guide 2000
"...The Palette, offers an enticing lunch menu. Meg Pidd, previously of The Republic, creates culinary works of art; .... The menu changes regularly but might include crispy battered flathead, a hearty venison burger with onion rings or quail with zucchini blossoms. ... a dessert highlight, if it's on, is the rich, moist mango and lime cake."
