Sue immerses herself in remote and isolated environments, allowing herself to be ‘changed’ by her experiences of places before painting. Like the imprint that wind and clouds leave on the landscape, these works represent the impressions that she has collected over the years and describe “the way clouds take shape and then dissolve into scribbles, explosions and loops – like writing the wind in the sky”.
